This hybrid produces huge flowers up to 7" in size which the colour is soft apple green flowers. It also produces wonderful fragrant at night which is comes from the parentage Brassavola nodosa with 2-3 flowers per inflorescence.

Cattleya walkeriana 'blue moon'

This cattleya is called the Queen of the Brazilian savannah because the heartland of this magnificent species is the Brazil central plateau and surrounding area. This species is relatively small. It grows epiphytes or a lithophytes and sometimes in full sun.It differs from most species of Cattleya by having inflorescence which arise from the rhizome instead of from the apex of the pseudo-bulb.

Program ini adalah perkongsian ilmu tentang penanaman dan penjagaan orkid secara umum kepada komuniti secara percuma.
Program ini di anjurkan oleh Majlis Perbandaran Taiping dengan kerjasama Persatuan Orkid Taiping.
Persatuan Orkid Taiping mewakilkan kepada OdD untuk berkongsi serba sedikit ilmu tentang penanaman dan penjagaan orkid dengan komuniti Taiping dan sekitarnya. 
Acara ini mendapat sambutan yang menggalakan dari komuniti dan harapan kami di OdD semoga komuniti yang hadir mendapat manfaat dari aktiviti ini.
Selepas taklimat OdD ada juga membuat sessi jualan pokok koleksi istimewa serta baja formulasi OdD (Foodie) sebagai buah tangan kepada peserta .
Di fahamkan aktiviti ini akan diteruskan lagi di masa akan datang.

Dendrobium penguanum

This orchid are gound in the eastern Himalayas, India, Nepal, Sikkim, Myanmar and Thailand. This dendrobium is a mini-miniature sized, hot growing lithophyte or epiphyte found on secondary shrub vegatation. It can grow well in hot and humid areas at elevations around 300 to 400 meters. The pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 4, sessile, broadly elliptic to linear-oblong, leathery, deciduous, acute to subacute apically leaves. This orchid blooms during hot and dry season in Malaysia. The size of the flower ~1.25cm at leafless cane and the flowers have a bit strong fragrant.

This cymbidium hybrid considered heat tolerate and free blooming all year round in Malaysia lowland. This orchid was registered in 2002. Parentage for this hybrid is between
Cymbidium iridioides X Cymbidium Golden Elf. They are many variants from seedling, which in this post are less spotted and light yellow which is consider quite seldom seen in the market.

This orchid endemic to Bahia , specifically the southern and southeastern regions of the state. The species is generally found in the Atlantic Forest range above 400 meters in altitude . Behaves epiphyte , it reaches about 20 cm , leaves smooth, rigid and elliptical and flowers ranging from light green to dark green with spots brown and lip of color purple .
