This Agricultural Exhibition (locally known as Mo'o) is annual event and held on second or third week of August every year in Prince of Songkla University, Hatyai Campus. It's start on 12 August and will end on 21 August 2011. The event for this year is more bigger than previous year and this is 4th year I visited this event. Normally I went there by public transport and just 1 day trip, but this year drive my own and stay there for few days.

Mo'o venue - other plants vendors |
My focus on the event of course for an Orchids, but it not just that! there are a lots of varieties of plants sale including gardening needs and latest machines for farmers. Even though there are a lots of attractions and new vendors, orchid still a big attractions! More vendors are sale orchid plants and orchid needs. Other flower? So many varieties!
My point of view, this event is more like MAHA show, which held every two years in Serdang, Malaysia. Last time I think, this events is more bigger than Malaysia. Now after a few times of organizing Agricultural show in Malaysia, MAHA Show is more bigger than this festival. The much intention and interesting here is the new technologies of hybridizing plant and gardening needs. Every year there are plenty of new hybrid plant, not just flower plants, but also fruits plant. You can see the new hybrid of coconut plant, which can harvest after only 1 1/2 years! The fruit? So many!
The mango plant also quite interesting, new hybrid with red color skin! I think this is hybridizing with Nam Dok Mai variety, never seen this in Malaysia. They ask me to try....but cannot try...because I'm fasting, maybe next time! Also have big size of banana....so big I think, do not know the how to pronounce it, because they pronounce in in Thais ;)
I have posted last year article
here!
